SEN Teaching Assistant – Bolton (BL2)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a local primary school, looking to hire a Teaching Assistant to work full time with an ASC pupil. This role will be commencing after the October half-term and will be working with the pupil on a 1:1 long-term basis, as well as providing general classroom assistance when needed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with Autism - either professionally or personally e.g. a family member
  • Be resilient and confident with challenging behaviour
  • Have a nurturing personality and be non-judgemental
  • Be able to follow instructions and be pro-active
  • Adhere to the school safeguarding policies
  • Have a passion to work with children
  • Previous experience working in a Primary School is desired but not essential

This school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school, with a support and hands-on SLT. The role is a full-time basis and will run until the end of the academic year. Our client is a small, modern primary school with a population of around 250 pupils, situated in the Tonge Moor area of Bolton.

The school has on-site parking and is easily accessible to those using public transport and travelling from the surrounding areas as it is situated off Tonge Moor road and Crompton way, which all major bus routes in Bolton run through. Furthermore, Hallithwood train station is a stone throw away.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
