Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans for students with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioural challenges
  • Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Work one-on-one with students to provide tailored support and encouragement

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

 

Experience:

  • Prior experience in providing SEN support
  • Experience working with students with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and behavioural support needs
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Knowledge of various conditions such as ASD, SEMH, and ADHD
  • Ability to provide behavioural support and implement individual education plans
  • Excellent classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in SEN support
  • Experience working in a similar educational setting
  • DBS on the update service
  • Uk Right to work 
  • Ability to work 5 days per week 

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time temporary position
  • Expected to work standard school hours
  • Work within a school environment in Hackney, Greater London
