SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Chorlton-cum-Hardy

Teaching Personnel is looking for a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This full-time position will commence in October and continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance.

Role Overview:

• Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they can fully access the curriculum and engage in their learning.
• Work one-to-one or in small groups with students who require additional help, adapting teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
• Assist class teachers in delivering lessons, focusing on differentiated instruction to support SEN students.
• Help implement personalised learning plans (PLPs), ensuring that targets are met and progress is regularly reviewed.
• Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them build confidence, self-regulation, and social skills.
• Liaise with SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), teachers, and parents to ensure consistent support and communication regarding student progress.
• Support students in a variety of settings, including mainstream classrooms and specialised interventions, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Details:

• Pay: £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.
• Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
• Start date: October, with the role continuing until the end of the academic year. There is potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.
