Education and Training

£85 - £90 Per day

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for SEN students
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Support students with their learning activities and personal care needs as required
  • Work collaboratively with other school staff and external professionals to meet the needs of SEN students
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and policies

Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

  • Knowledge of different learning needs and how to support students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN support
  • First Aid certification

The role involves working in a classroom environment alongside students and teachers. It may require some physical activity and assisting students with mobility and personal care needs. The working hours are typically during school hours, with occasional additional hours for meetings or events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
