Secondary SEMH Teaching Assistant – Warrington (WA2)

A secondary SEMH provision in Warrington are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their provision Monday to Friday, 10am until 2pm. This role will start after October half-term.

The incoming TA will be supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be expected o manage behaviour and implement positive and restorative behaviour management strategies. This school boasts small class sizes and a pleasant, small provision with a strong community feel.

You will be working closely with class Teachers and SLT to develop and follow EHCPs, providing 1:1 and small-group support where relevant. SLT are seeking an individual with experience supporting pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour. Psychology graduates and Team Teach trained TAs are encouraged to apply.

This role will pay £12.90+ hourly depending on experience and qualifications. Teaching Personnel do NOT use an umbrella company or agency fees. Instead, you will earn weekly PAYE through timesheets. This is a long-term role with the possibility of a permanent contract after a successful trial period.
