Teaching Personnel are excited to be working closely with an outstanding Autism specialist school in Horsham that caters to both primary and secondary-aged pupils. We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide emotional, social, and academic support to secondary pupils working towards their GCSEs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to secondary pupils with autism.
  • Assist students with their academic progress, helping them prepare for and achieve their GCSE qualifications.
  • Offer emotional and social support to help pupils thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to implement individual learning and support plans.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and community-focused learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with young people, particularly those with autism.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
  • Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Driving Licence and own car
