SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH/SEN School Group (Northampton)
Start Date: January 2025 or sooner

A highly regarded SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) school group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team at their Northampton site on a permanent basis. The school prides itself on providing an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment that helps students with complex needs achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEMH/SEN in a classroom setting.
  • Working alongside teachers to deliver tailored educational plans.
  • Encouraging positive social and emotional development.
  • Providing 1:1 support for individual students where needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEN.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar) are desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
