Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Bedford, working specifically with a Year 6 student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 6 student with special educational needs, helping them to engage fully in their learning.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning plans and adapting classroom activities to meet the student’s unique needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and participation.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other professionals to track progress and share insights.
  • Support the student during lessons, transitions, and social interactions to enhance their overall school experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (preferred).
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous.
