Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teachers to work across the KS3 and KS4 departments within one of Wales’s largest Special Educational Needs (SEN) Schools. The school caters for a wide and diverse range of abilities and has multiple Health and Therapy departments, including occupational, music and touch therapies.

 

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic SEN teachers or experienced secondary teachers, who are looking to secure a new teaching position. The pupils range from ages 3 to 19, therefore the successful candidate may be asked to support primary lessons also.

 

Areas of responsibility:

 

  • Provide engaging lessons that cover all areas from Routes to Learning to National Curriculum.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of attainment, progress, and behaviour, implementing an organised approach to the curriculum.
  • Work closely with other staff members and parents to ensure that learning is accessible to all pupil’s abilities.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to support staff when needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students with SEN.

 

Applicants must:

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have a PGCE with QTS.
  • Be able to commute to Penarth or relocate.
  • Have completed safeguarding training or be willing to complete.
  • Provide 2 recent references.
