We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Lewisham, Greater London. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one or small group setting. Your main focus will be on assisting students in developing their academic skills and achieving their educational goals.

  • Provide tailored academic support to students with SEN
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to help students progress
  • Monitor and assess students' progress regularly
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure cohesive support for students
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of SEN support strategies

Minimum of a relevant Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Prior experience working with students with SEN

  • Knowledge of SEN teaching methods and techniques
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Additional certifications in SEN education
  • Experience in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

This role is part-time and temporary, with flexible hours. The work environment will involve interacting with students, teachers, and parents in educational settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
