We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Richmond, Greater London. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them achieve their academic goals.

  • Designing and implementing individualised learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Delivering engaging and interactive lessons to support students' learning and development.
  • Assessing students' progress and adapting teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording students' progress to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience in SEN education.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with SEN in a teaching or tutoring capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.

A degree in Education or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Prior experience working with SEN students is required.

  • Understanding of SEN regulations and best practises in education.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Additional training in specific SEN areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Dyslexia.
  • Experience using assistive technology and resources to support SEN students.

This is a temporary position with part-time hours, offering a competitive hourly rate of £20 - £25. The role may involve working closely with students, parents, and other professionals in an educational setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
