The SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing specialised educational support to students with special educational needs (SEN). This includes developing and implementing tailored learning plans, delivering one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, monitoring student progress, and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- A relevant teaching qualification - Experience working with students with SEN - Knowledge of SEN support strategies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A degree in Education or a related field
Prior experience working as a tutor or teacher with SEN students
- Understanding of SEN legislation and best practises - Ability to assess individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly - Excellent communication skills to liaise with students, parents, and other professionals - Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEN
- Additional training in SEN support - Experience with specific SEN conditions such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD
The SEN Tutor is expected to work part-time hours on a temporary basis. The role may require flexibility in scheduling to accommodate students' needs. The work environment will primarily be in educational settings such as schools or learning centres in the Reading area of Berkshire, South East England.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
