Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring sessions for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans tailored to each student's specific needs
  • Implement strategies to support students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving academic goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for students with SEN
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a SEN tutor or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to assess student needs and develop appropriate learning plans
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work may involve travel to different locations to provide tutoring sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
