SEND Administrator- Aurora Hanley School 
Location:  Bucknall, Stoke on Trent
Salary:  £12.15 p/hr to £13.14 PHR /  Actual salary per year £21,709 - £23,478 depending on experience 
Hours:  8.30am – 4.30pm, Term time only (39 weeks)
Duration: Permanent

Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with a large SEN school based in Stoke on Trent. This school is an independent specialist school for young people aged 6 to 19, who may face difficulties as a result of communication needs typically associated with Autism spectrum conditions. 

The school are looking for an efficient and professional secretarial and administrative support to the SENDCo/ Assistant SENDCo and associated clinical team. This involves prioritising work load effectively under pressure and coping with conflicting demands in order to meet internally and externally imposed deadlines.

Key Duties:

  • Providing overall administration support to the SENDCo and at times the Clinical Team to include SaLT, OT, Clinical and Assistant Psychologists.
  • Supporting the EHCP review process
  • Updating all relevant documentation including Provision Maps, Student Support Plans, Pathway plans and other documentation as required.
  • Taking minutes and notes in key meetings to ensure that immediate recording is accurate, grammatically correct and clear.
  • Typing correspondence to parents, agencies, professionals, staff and any internal correspondence under the direction of the SENDCo or clinical team
  • Under the direction of the Clinical team or SENDCo carrying out individual assessments as requested

Qualifications

You must be a competent user of ICT particularly creating Word and Excel documents including formatting. Able to design and develop PowerPoints under the direction of senior staff to a high standard. Use your ICT skills under pressure.

Good level of literacy and numeracy (at least 5 GCSEs above C to include English and Maths or the equivalent).

Directions – This school is based In Stoke on Trent, ideally will need a driving license and access to your own vehicle. Parking available on site.
