About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking an innovative and dedicated SEND Class Teacher to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a SEND Class Teacher, you will take a creative and pupil-centered approach to teaching, ensuring that each child’s educational needs are met in a way that maximizes their achievement and personal development. Supported by a dedicated team and Outcomes First Group’s national resources, you will have the opportunity to focus on what truly matters: creating engaging learning experiences that help pupils with varied and complex needs thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the school curriculum creatively and effectively, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing classroom environment where pupils feel respected, listened to, and involved in their learning journey.
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teams, Pastoral Teams, and Therapists to provide individualised learning plans that address both educational and therapeutic goals.
  • Embrace a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to education, guiding pupils who may have had challenging experiences with previous educational settings.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of the school’s curriculum and teaching practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in a variety of teaching styles.
  • A creative, resilient, and calm approach to teaching, with the motivation to help every pupil reach their potential.
  • Ideally, experience in an SEN/ASC environment, though excellent teaching skills and the right personal qualities are equally important.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and values the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences.
