Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a thriving school based in south Birmingham. We are currently seeking a number of SEND Teaching assistant’s to join the team.
We are currently seeking a number of SEND Teaching Assistant’s to join this friendly team from May half-term until the end of the academic year, with a potential to extend further. The successful applicants will be working across this large primary school, working closely with the SEND Team to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. Applicants will be working both within the classroom and outside of the classroom to provide robust support to pupils, working within small groups or on a 1:1 basis where required. Pupils needs are mainly based around Autism and SEMH needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and vibrant primary setting. The school is based in south Birmingham, within proximity to Kings North, Bournville, and Hawksley. The expected salary range for this position is between £85-100 per day, depending on experience.

We would like applicants to have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within an academic setting. This role is ideal for anyone wishing to gain further knowledge or insight into SEND Education.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Confident in supporting pupils with SEND in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Able to work closely with Class Teachers and schools SEND team to ensure robust support is provided for all pupils.
