Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a vibrant primary school based in south Birmingham. We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be supporting pupils within a mainstream setting, providing support both inside and outside of the classroom. Working with small groups to provide targeted intervention support and providing 1:1 support where required. This is a fantastic role for anyone wishing to gain further knowledge and experience within SEND education.
This is a great opportunity to join a thriving school and gain exception experience in supporting pupils with SEND. The school is located in south Birmingham, within proximity to Kings Norton, Stirchley, and  Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary for this role is between £80-90 per day, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification, for example Supporting Teaching and Learning. Applicants should be confident in supporting pupils with SEND and working to unique timetables to best support pupils learning styles.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Hold a relevant TA qualification such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Confident in supporting pupils with SEND- pupils needs are mainly based in SEMH
  • Able to work closely with class teachers and SENDCO to ensure robust support is in place across school for all pupils
