Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a friendly primary located in the Oldbury area. We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.
We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join this supportive team as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. The successful applicant will be supporting pupils on a resource base within a mainstream setting. Pupils’ needs are mainly based with SEMH or ASD. Some pupils may need 1:1 support within the classroom working towards IEP targets, or support in participating in classroom-based activities.
This is a fantastic and diverse role with great opportunities for career progression, including moving into a HLTA position. The school is located within the Oldbury area, within proximity to Brandhall, and Bristnall Fields. The expected salary range for this role is between £9.64-£15.08 per day, depending on experience level.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold a relevant TA qualification, for example Supporting Teaching and Learning. Applicants should be confident in supporting pupils working towards IEP targets. Prior experience of supporting pupils with SEND is not essential, however applicants should be confident in developing strong working relationships with pupils. A passion for supporting pupils with SEND in accessing the curriculum at their own level is essential.
