Teaching Personnel are working with a Primary School located in Stockton-On-Tees who are looking to secure a part-time teaching assistant to support a SEND pupil in their EYFS class (ASC). You will be working 2-3 days per week, as well as providing 121 support you will also be asked to support the wider class if needed.

About the role:

  • Starting ASAP, this is an ongoing role and is likely to be extended right until the end of the academic year.
  • Working Hours: 08:30 – 15:30
  • Weekly pay £400-£500 (pro rata) paid every Friday
  • Supporting a SEND EYFS pupil (ASC) on a 121 basis as well as offering full class support when needed

  • Primary School based in Stockton
  • With good relationships across the school, lessons are rarely disrupted. If they are, teachers guide pupils to reflect on behaviour with majority of pupils learning from it
  • Leaders are committed to pupils’ wider development. Counselling is provided for pupils who are anxious. Healthy eating is promoted by the food and nutrition group
  • The use of ongoing assessment is variable. Sometimes teachers spot misconceptions in pupils’ knowledge but do not stop to address them properly

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experienced working with EYFS aged pupils (reception)
  • Must have experience working with SEND pupils on a 121 basis
  • Ability to offer whole class support if needed
  • Calm and nurturing attitude
  • Hold a Child Only DBS accessible on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
