SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-Time in Wilmslow

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Wilmslow. This is a full-time position starting in October and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role depending on performance. The pay for this role is £419.25 - £500 per week.

Role Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding position where you will work closely with individual students and small groups, helping them overcome challenges and making a positive impact on their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with a variety of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assisting classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of all students.
  • Implementing tailored support strategies to help students engage with lessons, improve their focus, and develop essential skills.
  • Offering emotional and behavioral support to students, promoting their well-being and self-confidence.
  • Working collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure effective delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Supporting students in both academic and pastoral areas, ensuring they feel supported, safe, and valued in their learning environment.
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff on students' development and needs.
