Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside a vibrant primary based in south Birmingham. We are currently seeking a qualified SENDCo to join this dynamic team from May 2024.

We are currently seeking a qualified SENDCo to join this welcoming team from May 2024 until the end of the academic year, with a view to extend further for the right person. The successful applicant will be working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to provide training and support to staff. Ensuring IEP’s are in place and supporting pupils, staff and parents with referrals where necessary. You will also be managing departmental budgets and developing and maintaining pupil records, ensuring information is correct and up to date.

This is a fantastic role within a friendly and welcoming team. The school is located in south Birmingham, within proximity to Kitts Green, Mansfield Green and Lyndon Green areas. This is a dynamic role with school offering flexibility on working hours- as such this role can be taken on as a full-time position or a part-time role for those who need a more adaptable position.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to hold SENDCo qualification such as the National Award for Special Educational Needs (NASENCO).

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

-        Hold a recognised SENDCo qualification such as National Award for Special Educational Needs (NASENCO)


-        Pro-active approach with a passion for ensuring pupils are able to reach their full potential

-        A robust understanding of SEND and how to appropriately and effectively support pupils needs
