SEN Teaching Assistant - Sensory Support Team in a Primary School

Are you passionate about sensory learning and supporting children with special educational needs? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialised Sensory Support Team within a vibrant primary school. In this role, you will help create and deliver sensory-based activities tailored to children with a range of needs, including hearig impairments, Autism, sensory processing disorders, and other learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with teachers and the head of the department to create and implement sensory-based learning activities.
• Provide support to students with sensory processing challenges, using tools such as sensory circuits, visual aids, and tactile learning materials.
• Create a calming and structured environment to support students during transitions and more challenging parts of the day.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with SEN or within a primary school 
• A patient and creative approach to learning.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to supporting children’s emotional and educational development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
