Position: Sociology Teacher
Location: NN3, Northampton
Contract: Full-time/Permanent

Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Sociology lessons up to A-Level standard, ensuring students reach their full potential.
  • Mark and assess coursework, providing constructive feedback and fostering academic growth.
  • Develop creative and inclusive teaching strategies, catering to the needs of diverse learners.
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, in line with Ofsted’s 'Good' rating.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Sociology (or a related subject).
  • Proven experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sociology curriculum and exam board requirements.
  • A passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation of sociologists.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
