Are you a passionate Spanish teacher looking for a new role starting in September 2024? Our client school in Sunderland is eagerly seeking a dedicated educator like you. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a Fully Qualified Teacher (FQT), we welcome your enthusiasm and expertise.

Position: Spanish Teacher

  • Pay: To scale (£153.84 to £238.58 per day)
  • Contract: Full-Time
  • Start Date: September 2024

Our client secondary school is conveniently located in Sunderland, with easy access from the surrounding areas via the A1231, A183, A690, A1018, and the A19. For those without private transport, there are numerous public transport links available from across the North East.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Excellent subject knowledge within the Spanish curriculum. Knowledge of an additional language is desired but not required.
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Great classroom management skills
  • Child-only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply, with our assistance)
  • Two professional references from recent employment

Job Brief:

  • Teach Spanish to KS3 and KS4 students, catering to a range of abilities
  • Plan, deliver, and mark Spanish lessons to meet diverse student needs
  • Prepare and evaluate Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing examinations
  • Engage in a variety of extracurricular activities
