Are you an inspiring and passionate Spanish teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a committed and dynamic Full-Time Spanish Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Rawtenstall from January 2025.

Position Overview

As a key member of our modern foreign languages department, you will play a vital role in fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture among our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish to students across KS3 and KS4, preparing them for success in their GCSEs and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to a range of abilities.
  • Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4, following the national curriculum and preparing students for their GCSE exams.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Encourage a positive learning environment that fosters a passion for languages and motivates students to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources for the MFL department.
  • Support extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or trips, that promote language learning outside of the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, parents’ evenings, and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Spanish or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at secondary school level, ideally with a proven track record of success at KS4 (GCSE).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the Spanish language and culture.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
