Location – Porth

Hours – Full-time & Flexible Roles Available

Pay - £12.90 per hour minimum

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to take on a position within a lovely Secondary School located in Porth area. The school places a strong emphasis on unity, working as a team and being passionate about what they do which strongly reflects the core values of Teaching Personnel; team spirit, championing quality, to always improve and be passionate about education.

You will be working within KS3 and KS4 classes supporting the individual needs of students with special educational needs.

Daily Duties of an SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Guarantee wellbeing and safety of students
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Support students learning and development
  • Monitor students progress and ensure they are maintaining their education
  • Greet and escort students to lesson from school gates
  • Management of challenging behaviour

Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Enhanced DBS available on the Update Service
  • Registered with the EWC
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs in Core Subjects
  • Previous experience as a TA desirable but not essential
  • Experience around Special Educational Needs is key (personal or professional capacity)
