Our SEN team provides vital support to students with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with students who need personalised support to succeed. You’ll play a crucial role in helping students with Autism and MLD to PMLD develop both academically and personally.

  • 1:1 Support: Provide dedicated, individualised assistance to students in a secondary school setting.
  • Adapt Learning: Help adapt lessons and activities to meet each student’s unique needs, making learning fun and engaging.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic and nurturing learning experience.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage students to build life skills and confidence, fostering their independence.
  • Support Emotional and Social Development: Be a positive presence in your student’s day, helping them build essential social and emotional skills.

✔️ Passion for SEN: Enthusiasm for working with students with Autism and MLD/PMLD.
✔️ Patience and Empathy: A caring, positive attitude to support students through their challenges.
✔️ Experience in a SEN Setting (preferred, but not essential).
✔️ Team Player: Ability to work closely with staff and families to ensure the best for your students.
✔️ Adaptability: Creativity and flexibility in responding to students' individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
