Position: Specialist Learning Support Assistant
Location: Filey, North Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time/Part-time options available
Salary: Competitive rates, based on experience

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and group support to students with additional needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. This role requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting students with unique learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other specific learning difficulties.

  • Providing tailored support to students within the classroom environment
  • Collaborating with teachers to create individualised learning plans
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students
  • Engaging with parents, caregivers, and school staff to ensure effective support strategies
  • Previous experience working with SEN students
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Education or SEN (preferred but not essential)
  • Access to continuous professional development (CPD) courses
  • Dedicated consultant support
