Education and Training

£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Provide specialised tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' abilities and needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students' academic progress
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and educational psychologists, to support students' learning
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress
  • Relevant qualification in Special Education or related field
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Understanding of different learning styles and how to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Degree in Special Education or related field

Minimum of 2 years' experience working with students with SEN

  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
  • Ability to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Training in de-escalation techniques
  • Experience working in a SEN school or unit
  • Potential for dealing with challenging behaviour and emotional outbursts
  • Additional certifications in Special Education
  • Experience using assistive technology to support students' learning

This role involves working in a home setting with students with SEN. The working hours are full-time, and the role is temporary in nature. The successful candidate will need to adapt to the diverse needs of students and collaborate with other professionals in the education sector.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
