Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Start Date: September

About the Role:

We are seeking a 1:1 Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Key Stage 5 pupil in our trauma-informed school. You will work closely with the student to create a supportive and nurturing environment, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and empowered to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a KS5 pupil on a 1:1 basis.
• Employ a trauma-informed approach to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Assist with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Build a trusting relationship with the pupil, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement individualized support plans.

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
• Excellent empathy, patience, and resilience.
• Experience working with young people, preferably within a school setting.
• Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students.
• A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
