Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackpool, FY6. 
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
Contract Type: Full-time temporary.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of EHC Plans.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Helping to create and adapt learning materials.
  • Supporting students in developing social and communication skills.
  • Assisting with classroom management and organisation.
  • Promoting an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • The chance to make a real difference in students' lives.
  • A welcoming and inclusive school community.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not necessary.
  • A patient, empathetic, and caring approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous but not essential.
