About Us:

We are a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Chorley, committed to supporting the well-being and development of our primary and secondary students. We believe in the power of sports to build confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with students who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your focus will be on using sports and physical activity to engage, motivate, and support our students, helping them develop essential life skills while promoting physical health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging sports activities tailored to the needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and builds self-esteem.
  • Support students in developing teamwork, communication, and social skills through sports.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate physical activity into the broader curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment during all sports activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a coaching or educational setting.
  • A background in sports science, coaching, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the well-being of students with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet varying levels of ability and engagement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
