We are currently recruiting all sports/PE graduates to start with one of our partner schools post October half term. This role will be for an academic P.E Assistant role. The successful applicant will be supporting the Physical Education lessons assisting with the class across KS3-KS4, you will be placed in a department to support as a mentor to students who may struggle with this subject compared to their peers.

This school is know for its high CPD programmes and internal growth once completed the probation period. Therefore, the school is wanting someone who is looking for a long term role with the working hours being from 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday, within this new build there are excellent facilities and teaching aids providing an excellent platform for learning and development of students.

Key aspects of the Graduate position:

  • Pay will be dependent upon experience but range between £325 - £375 per week dependent upon confirmed hours and experience in this area.
  • Any experience of mentoring, tutoring or supporting young people is highly desirable.
  • Opportunity to gain more experience and assist at a supportive secondary school in the heart of Cheadle
  • Graduate TA required on a full time basis from October 2021

If this applicant is successful, you will be given the details of a specific group that you will be working with that may require more assistance and motivating compared to other students. You may be tasked with providing small group intervention, working with identified students and supporting the teacher for any activities taken place.  There is a chance to work with students of all ages and abilities, including KS3 and KS4 (years 7-11 and aged 11-16). If you do have any prior experience with tutoring or in supporting young people. Please do highlight this on your application and CV as this will be highly desirable to the school.
