Are you passionate about education and supporting students in achieving their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a thriving Welsh-speaking secondary school in Cardiff.

 This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where both academic success and personal development are prioritized, while also promoting the Welsh language and culture.  The role will be working with students 1:1 or in small intervention groups, often taking them to the school sporting facilities to and keeping children active while engaging in meaningful conversation.  The ideal candidate will be of a sporting background to manage the needs of the role, through previous experience in coaching or through general ability to satay active.  If you are eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners, this role could be the perfect fit for you!

The Role / Y Swydd

  • Support students with their learning, both in and outside the classroom
  • Be happy to work 1:1 with ALN students – take students away from the classroom and work with them at the schools’ sports facilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of resources and classroom activity
  • Develop positive, supportive relationship with students to boost their confidence and engagement

The Ideal Candidate / Y Ymgeisydd Delfrydol

  • Enhanced DBS (child only) and be registered with the Education Workforce council.  We can help with this
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE A* - C
  • Strong with behaviour – professional or personal (experience desired by not essential)
  • A flexible, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential in a supportive and caring environment
  • Be a fluent Welsh Spaeker
