Teaching Personnel

Are you a qualified teacher of any experience level looking for supply teaching within secondary schools in the South Manchester as schools look to reopen?

Perhaps you are an NQT looking ahead to May/June and are open to undertaking teaching roles prior to September?

Teaching Personnel’s central Manchester based schools found that they required an influx of supply teachers during the first term of this academic year and so as we look ahead to schools reopening fully, this is likely to be a similar requirement.

The successful supply teacher(s) may have a specialism which will often be advantageous and be matched with, so if you are a Humanities teacher or Art teacher for example and interested in covering on a general basis, apply now.

If you are a teacher who has resigned from their position and would like flexible day to day supply teaching without any planning and marking responsibilities then apply now for immediate consideration.

Highlights of the General Cover teaching role:

  • Casual, flexible supply teaching available in the South Manchester area
  • Range of secondary schools to teach in:
    • Single gender, academically strong as well as more diverse and behaviour orientated secondary schools
    • Pay between £100 - £120 for a day’s cover depending on the school and role
    • Opportunity to gain a variety of experiences and network within secondary schools
      • Teach at a number of schools in the Longsight, Ardwick, Levenshulme, Chorlton and Stretford areas
      • Full flexibility of your own online diary, making yourself available for specific days as required

The current situation is very uncertain in the education sector and as a supply teacher, you can be a consistent member of staff for schools as they reopen following the national closure.

With supply teaching, planning and marking is not a requirement given that you will cover lessons which are already created and planned. If you are however interested in longer term teaching with additional responsibility, please highlight this on your application.

If you are a teacher who has found themselves in a difficult situation and are keen to teach in schools as soon as possible, upon schools reopening and are available for a selection of days each week or for shorter or longer periods of time, apply now for immediate consideration. Please ensure you apply using the link below attaching your most relevant teaching experience.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
