ECT’s looking for Supply Work in South Manchester

Are you about to graduate from a PGCE course in any subject area?

Are you based in Manchester and looking for supply work after you have graduated?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a number of new ECT’s to provide cover within secondary schools within South Manchester. We are able to offer flexible roles to match your availability – whether that is part-time temporary roles to fit around your current schedule, or full-time (long-term) roles to help you build up all the experience you can and provide you with a level of consistency within your work.

As a supply teacher with Teaching Personnel you can provide either general cover to schools where you support across a range of subject with all the work prepared for you in advance, or you can work subject specific roles in your qualified area. Schools are always looking for day to day cover to help fill absences as well as longer term positions such as maternity leaves. With the longer term positions, there is then always the possibility of these then becoming permanent. This is the perfect opportunity for anybody who is looking to explore their options within a variety of schools to decide what it is they are looking for in a permanent role…you wouldn’t buy a house without looking at it first after all!

  • Pay: £120 - £130 per day depending on type of role and responsibilities involved.
  • Range of Ofsted Outstanding and Good secondary schools across Trafford/South Manchester/Stockport.
  • Either part-time or full-time roles to suit your schedule!
  • Great opportunity to expand your professional contacts within the education sector.
  • Chance for temporary roles to become permanent.

The ideal candidate will be confident within a classroom setting, will be adaptable by nature and will have no problem attaching new challenges. You will need to have QTS in any subject (or have QTS pending this summer) and will need to have a Child Only DBS that is then registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for this).

Most of the schools within this region are all accessible via public transport (bus and tram), however candidates with access to a vehicle will find this greatly to their advantage.

If you are looking for work within secondary schools either starting immediately or in September, then please attach your most recent CV with a breakdown of your career/education history in order to be contacted by someone from Teaching Personnel to discuss registering with us.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
