General Supply Teacher – RCT & Merthyr Area

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting teachers who are looking for day-to-day supply work. If you are a fully qualified teacher and do not have work at this moment and would be interested in ad-hoc work then Teaching Personnel can support you! We are working with a number of schools who regularly need supply teachers on a regular basis to cover lessons. Successful applicants will be interviewed during the next 3 weeks.

  • Able to cover Primary or Secondary classes
  • Have experience teaching in Primary or Secondary schools
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate available on the Update Service
  • Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)

*** Teaching Personnel can assist you with your DBS & EWC applications ***

Working through Teaching Personnel doing General Supply means you will be able to pick and choose which days you are wanting to work. This is the ideal role for anyone who is looking for flexibility in their work. Working in supply means that you arrive and have all of the work for your classes pre-set by the subject teacher which you supervise classes completing. Once the school day ends, you are not required to stay behind and mark work, plan lessons, or attend any department meetings.

A successful and strong Supply Teacher is someone who is confident and has good classroom management. Students within school can be difficult at times, and when their continuity is broken and their regular teacher is not in this can cause them to be extra challenging. Therefore, it is down to you as the supply teacher to manage the challenging behaviours and keep the class focused on the task at hand. You will have support from the department you are working in.
