Supply Teacher

As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects and year groups. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that students continue to receive a quality education while their regular teachers are unavailable. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy flexibility in their work schedule and want to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.

We are specifically recruiting teachers based in Stockport, as we have a number of secondary schools in and around this area with a high need for supply teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons according to the provided plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of education.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during your teaching sessions.

Qualifications:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in different classroom environments.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
