Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated Classroom Teachers to work on a supply basis across the East-Lancashire area. Secondary Schools across the Blackburn, Rossendale, Burnley, Pendle & Hyndburn areas, are in need of supply teachers on a pre-booked and adhoc basis. With education returning to pre-covid times, schools are looking to book supply teachers to cover release time, such as management time, PPA cover, training courses etc…. Teacher Personnel are one of the only supply companies that offer a ‘guaranteed work scheme’ for adhoc supply teachers. This means we will pay you if we don’t have any work. The contract runs on a term-by-term basis. Please see the process below:

  1. Register with Teaching Personnel
  2. Attend the interview with you dedicated consultant
  3. Chose how many days you would like to work
  4. Decide your preferred days (Mon – Fri)
  5. State your preferred distance to travel
  6. Become fully vetted and get ready for work.

Salary: £130 - £160 per day

Minimum on 2 days availability

Roles and Responsibilities

Effective delivery of the relevant curriculum

Leave a follow up note for the class teacher

Plan or deliver creative and engaging lessons

Manage behaviour effectively within the classroom, following the schools behaviour policy

Monitoring, recording and reporting attainment, development and progress

Ensuring SEN and EAL students experience an inclusive education

The Ideal Candidate

Hold a QTS or equivalent

Have a genuine interest in child development and education

Knowledge of the relevant curriculum

Experienced working with SEN and EAL students

Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures

Positive, can-do attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
