About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to teachers and students, ensuring the smooth operation of the classroom during staff absences. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking for flexible working opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt activities to suit their requirements.
  • Supervise students during break times, lunch, and other non-instructional periods.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist in maintaining classroom order and managing student behavior.
  • Help with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and organizing materials.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one prior to starting).

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Additional training or certifications relevant to the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
