Primary School Support Worker – Kirkby (L33)

Do you have previous experience supporting children or young people and looking to pursue a career within a Primary School in Kirkby (L33)?

A large Primary School in Kirkby are looking for somebody to join their team and offer support to pupils aged between 5 – 11 years old. The role would entail you supporting pupils daily with their classwork 1:1 or in a small group, supporting the class teacher with the preparation of classwork and getting involved in fun activities to support pupils to stay engaged whilst at school such as, arts & crafts, music and sports! You should show confidence and resilience with this role and be able to show strong behaviour management strategies. Some pupils may be a looked after child, have specialist educational needs or come from a deprived background – so understanding and nurture is important to have for this role.

The role would be Monday – Friday, term time only, 08:30am – 3:00pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
