Position: Support Worker (Blackpool)

 

Role: 

As a Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care and support to pupils, addressing both their educational and holistic needs. Some pupils may exhibit challenging behaviours, and your ability to handle these situations calmly and professionally is crucial. Your role involves supporting the pupils throughout their time with you, following their Education, Health, and Care (EHC) plans, and catering to their individual needs. A pupil-centred approach is essential, as their wellbeing always takes priority.

Schools:

Teaching Personnel collaborates with a range of schools, including mainstream secondary, primary, and SEN provisions. However, the specific roles we currently have available are focused on supporting pupils in secondary schools in the Blackpool area. All students have additional needs and EHC plans, requiring additional support to meet their day-to-day requirements. The schools require additional support staff to ensure the highest quality of care for their students. Your support is vital in ensuring that all students are properly supported and safeguarded throughout their time at the school.

Requirements:

-          Ability to commute to and from Blackpool

-          Experience supporting students with additional needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health), SEN (Special Educational Needs), ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

-          Multiple full-time roles available, Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 3:15 pm)

-          Varied start dates

-          Flexible hours may be available
