Location: Meldreth, Nr. Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 ph to £12.20ph (linked to competency and qualifications) Plus £1500 Welcome bonus * 
 Hours: 4-week rota pattern – Average 40hrs per week for full time and flexible part time shifts/hours available including weekend only hours.  
Training: Full training is provided and once passed probation we will support and fund you to complete your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care.
 
We are currently looking for a number of Care Workers in the Meldreth, Nr. Royston (South Cambridgeshire / North Hertfordshire border), where our partnership children’s home and school provides education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 6-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders.
 
Key Duties

  • Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.
  • Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
  • Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children, and young adults are free to grow and develop
  • Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
  • Helping to develop their learning and social skills wherever possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
