Position: Teacher in Childcare

Location: Northampton

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Childcare teacher to work in one of our clients colleges in Northampton as of September 2024. The College are based in the heart of Northampton, located on a large campus with excellent facilities for teaching and learning. They have been awarded with a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Childcare Studies to a diverse group of students.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, helping them achieve their educational and career goals.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and improvement.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Childcare, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Childcare Studies or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
