About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is perfect for experienced educators, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a passion for English literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Teaching: Support students in achieving their individual potential through engaging and effective teaching methods that adhere to the school’s aims and policies.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Deliver a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all students.
  • Extra-Curricular Involvement: Contribute to the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities, enhancing the educational experience for students.
  • Student Development: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, both in your role as a teacher and a form tutor.
  • Raising Standards: Play a key role in raising standards of student attainment, ensuring that value is added within the school context.
  • Professional Growth: Take advantage of opportunities for personal and academic growth provided by the school.
  • Professional Duties: Fulfill professional duties as outlined in the Conditions of Service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, for experienced teachers.
  • ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for teaching English are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of the English curriculum and a passion for literature and language.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • A Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
