About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and teach English lessons that captivate students and enhance their understanding and appreciation of literature and language.
• Cater to Diverse Needs: Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Assess and Support: Regularly assess students' progress and provide feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices and contribute to the school’s curriculum.
• Promote Literacy: Encourage a love for reading and writing through dynamic and interactive teaching strategies.

Requirements:

• Qualification: Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) and unqualified teachers with a strong background in English are encouraged to apply.
• Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for English and a commitment to inspiring students.
• Adaptability: Ability to teach across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Commitment to Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Safer in Education check.
