Position: IT Teacher

Location: Northampton

Are you a qualified teacher of IT looking for your next challenge? Have you revently gradudated from a degree in the subject and are keen to inspire the next generation into finding a love for the subject? Look no further!

Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for an excellent Teacher of IT to join one of our clients colleges in the new academic year. The instituiton is based centrally to Northampton in NN3, on a large campus with excellent facilities for Teaching and Learning. They also have great transportation links with various bus routes that travel directly to the school, as well as a large onsite car park for driver. The College has been rated a ‘Good’ College by Ofsted and is an extremely supportive environment for both staff and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging IT lessons for students at various educational levels.
  • Teach a range of IT subjects, including but not limited to, programming, web development, cybersecurity, and digital literacy.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate IT across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in IT and education to continuously improve teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching IT or related subjects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, software development, and IT systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with varying levels of ability and interest in IT.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with technological advancements.
