Math Teacher Needed for Secondary School in Basingstoke

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher looking for a new challenge in Basingstoke? Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated individual to join a dynamic secondary school starting in September 2024.

About the Role:
As a Math Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4. This role is ideal for experienced educators, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers who have a strong passion for mathematics and are eager to inspire the next generation of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Teaching: Provide high-quality teaching that helps students learn effectively, develop personally, and achieve their individual potential, in line with the school’s aims and policies.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and ambitious curriculum that is accessible to all students.
  • Extra-Curricular Involvement: Participate in and contribute to the school’s provision of extra-curricular activities, enriching students' educational experiences.
  • Student Development: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, both in your role as a teacher and a form tutor.
  • Raising Standards: Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and ensuring that within the context of the school, value is added.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in opportunities provided by the school for personal and academic growth.
  • Professional Duties: Fulfill professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, for experienced teachers.
  • ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers with a strong interest in teaching mathematics are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of the mathematics curriculum and a passion for the subject.
  • Commitment to creating a positive learning environment and promoting student success.
  • A Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
