Do you have a passion for education? Are you pro-active and confident?

We are looking for a General Cover Teacher whose main responsibility will be supporting the schools in different departments when the classroom teacher is off. This position starts immediately and is until July with the potential to carry on until the next school year.

The role is in Poulton-Le-Fylde at a school where they encourage pupils to work hard to achieve their full potential in their academic studies and extra-curricular activities. The school believe in the value of partnership of students, families, wider community, and their place within the UK and globally.

The suitable candidate will have:

-          Previous experience working with children.

-          A pro-active mindset with confidence in a school environment.

-          Confident in managing different behaviours within a classroom setting.

-          Able to adapt approach to cater to pupils’ individual needs.

Day-to-day duties for a General Cover Teacher include:

-          Supervising students, ensuring they are engaged in the classwork.

-          Collecting completed work and returning it to the teacher.

-          Encouraging pupils to interact and participate.

-          Helping pupils to become more independent in their learning.

-          Establishing trust with pupils, interacting with them according to individual needs.

-          Creating a safe, positive, supportive classroom environment.

Although you must be a qualified teacher for this position the school are open to see applications from Cover Supervisors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
