Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our committed team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our Year 6 pupils, ensuring each child is engaged, supported, and challenged. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of our students as they prepare for secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the well-being and progress of each pupil.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuous professional development opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching at the primary level, preferably Year 6.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching practice.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude towards challenges and change.
